IU - Last Night Story, about being ignored by the person you loved and starting to hate them after being alone in a party while you watched them dance with someone else (tbh the contrast between the lyrics and her gloomy tone to the bright music and sparkling MV is amazing) IU - Glasses, about being gladly blind to the intention of others and not needing to know every little thing they have tried to hide.
IU - Knees, a song she wrote thinking about her grandmother (I'm tired, I think I've endured too much / I wish there was a shortcut to get back to you / If I put my head on your knees, brush my hair like when I was young) IU - Can't Love You Anymore, kinda has the same vein as Urban Zakapa's song, but it's more emotionless, the entire song is designed to sound like the singers are bored or tired About trying to intimidate a love rival who you fear is trying to interfere in your relationship. About leaving your adult worries and boredom behind and experiencing the magic of childhood with them through their music. About leading someone on because you can't handle breaking up with them. About self-hatred, anxiety, and all that fun stuff. Not sure if this counts since it's motivated by lore? About trying to break out of a beautiful illusion. About being an outcast/weirdo but finding fellow weirdos that you can be yourself with. About his childhood dog who passed away as a puppy. About depression and feeling lonely despite superficial popularity.
